How do you determine your style of bowling?

It comes down to your size, strength and comfort zone. Your style is going to be dictated by your amount of steps and also the style you want to create. You have a person that can throw the ball a little bit harder and straight to a person that throws the ball a little slower with a lot of hook. As a beginner, you want to start off with a approach and create a more natural, flowing motion to the foul line to create momentum and get the ball down the lane the proper way.

As you get more advanced, you have different categories of bowling style. You have a stroker which throws the ball a little bit harder and straighter. You have a tweener that has somewhat of a hook. And then you have a person that cranks the ball that has a larger curve or hook on the ball and creates a lot more area in the lane. To determine your style, it has to come down to comfort and what you want to create. To determine your style of bowling, give it a shot and go out there and throw some balls to determine what kind of style is good for you.
